Expop 2012

Expo will become “pop” on June 21st. In fact, Expop is opening its doors to everybody. The year 2012 is welcoming a pre-edition of Expop with a special project presentation in which the audience will be able to vote and pitch in with new ideas. The best ones will be exhibited at Expop 2013. The presentation is open from 10am to 9pm at Vivaio Riva in Via Arena 7. More viewing sites are Parco Orbitale, Zoo d’Artista, Milano in Mostra, Expop Teen, EatMi, Art Village, Italy’s Art for Expo and Milano Internazionale. The entrance is free.

Expop is the first event hosted by Vivaio, an association formed by active members of the worlds of culture and enterprise, all born between the end of the ’70s and the end of the ’60s, with the intention of creating and supporting projects who elevate Milan at an international level. The founders of Vivaio said: “After getting tired of complaining, we decided to take action into our own hands becoming active in Milan’s future”. The date of the founding is March 21st of last year, the beginning of spring: “It’a symbolic date for us, because we want Milan to bloom into a breeding ground with beautiful projects to share with others. The first event to blossom, Expop, is born on the first day of summer”.
After 9pm, Expop will become Expop Night, with “the longest Expop party of the year” at Shu in Via Molino dells Armi.
