Nilufar: Making Way for Design

Nilufar
| February 2011

A space for those who love historic Italian design and also want to understand its contemporary evolution, especially that poetic, visionary area midway between production and art. Milan is a key player on the global design stage, and Galleria Nilufar, founded by Nina Yashar (who runs it with her sister Nilu and a staff of 5) represents its very essence. Since the end of the ‘90s, Nilufar has given life to a number of projects – including design and site-specific exhibitions and publications – either with proven masters or up-and-coming designers. If you’re crazy about carpets and rare furniture, be sure to stop by at via della Spiga 32 (T: 02 780193) to chat with Nina.
