Fruit Faces

Fruit Face
February 2011

Whether you’re crazy or not crazy about art, his paintings are unmistakable: dream-like, surprising, burlesque-style portraits in which faces are portrayed through a combination of objects, pots and pans, books and tools but, above all, pieces of fruit. An exhibition, featuring the works of Arcimboldo, the famous 16th century Milanese artist (1527-1593), it’s on display from 10 February to 22 May 2011 against the magnificent backdrop of Palazzo Reale.
