MAGICAL ATMOSPHERES FROM THE PAST

This month Palazzo Reale will host a number of exhibitions and installations. At one of the city’s most important cultural centers, located just behind the Duomo, until 26 February 2012, visitors will have a chance to see the “Cézanne et les ateliers du Midi” exhibit. Forty works of art, lent by international museums, range from the French master’s early works right up to his landscapes, still lifes and paintings completed at the beginning of the 20th century. CHALLENGING CONVENTIONS

Until 22 January 2012, one of Europe’s most accomplished 17th-century painters will be lauded for the first time in Milan. Don’t miss “Artemisia Gentileschi. The story of a Passion”, a monographic exhibition tracing the four stages of the painter’s life, from her Roman beginnings right up to her death in Naples.
