The new face of the shoe area
For Women’s Fashion Week February 2020, the shoe area located on the third floor of Rinascente has been given a makeover, as part of a project involving the whole female area of the department store set to be completed by September 2020. The new-ins include the refurbishment of the mono-brand corners by Sergio Rossi, Aquazzura, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod’s, Hogan, Zanotti, René Caovilla and Casadei, as well as the opening of a brand-new Chanel corner. Conversely, the multi-brand area has been given a new concept featuring minimalist lines, in the shade of light blue with the use of natural materials together with iron and glass, where shoes become the absolute protagonists. Here, the featured brands include Nodaleto, The Row, Attico, Jacquemus, Alevì, Paciotti, Kalda, A.W.A.K.E. MODE, Lanvin, Pierre Hardy, Maison Margiela, Givenchy, Proenza Schouler, Jil Sander, Dries Van Noten and Marni. Moreover, during the Fashion Week Rinascente pays tribute to Italian design and craftsmanship by featuring the Italian brand SPORTMAX – which made its first appearance on the runway in Milan in 1976 – in the window displays overlooking Piazza Duomo.
