About the event

On the occasion of the celebrations in Italy dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the death of the great poet Dante Alighieri, the Duomo of Milan will host an evocative theatrical (and integral) reading of the “Divine Comedy”.
The event “Dante in Duomo” recalls the historical memory of the Cathedral where the “lectura Dantis” of 1418 was used to raise funds for the construction of the church.
Under the artistic direction of Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, playwright, director and actor, this initiative is organized in collaboration with the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, the musicians of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and the students of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano.
