Milan has recently seen the birth of a new area devoted to creativity and design known as NoLo (the acronym for North of Loreto), formerly considered a part of the suburbs that has now turned into a haven of creativity and design for youngsters. The newly-born district is now home to the first edition of BienNoLo, the Biennale of contemporary art based on the important theme of environmental sustainability conceptualised by designer Carlo Vanoni and curated by ArtCityLab and Matteo Bergamini.
BienNoLo into more details
The theme of this edition of BienNoLo is called “#Eptacaidecafobia”, a Greek word that stands for the fear of the number 17, and involves a series of workshops, talks and side events. Among these, visitors are invited to meet at the bus stop at no. 56 via Padova to join in some cultural activities that include also a workshop walking around the NoLo area to take pictures of the hidden treasures of the city.
