About the fair
Besides being one of the most awaited events of the year in Milan for biking enthusiasts, EICMA is the worldwide leading fair for the world of the two wheels, including bikes, motorbikes, mopeds, push scooters and urban mobility solutions. Now on the 77th year from its inception, this one-of-a-kind event is hosted at the Rho Fairgrounds, spread over different pavilions. On this occasion, 1800 among the most important top brands in the sector preview their latest innovations in biking for 2020, with test-driving options in a dedicated outdoor area, also for the youngest guests, as well as street food options and music. Though featuring a 60% of international exhibitors, the upcoming edition of EICMA features an important focus on Made in Italy, as a tribute to Italian quality, style, sustainability and innovation. Aa leading trend for the latest editions, a specific focus is also given to E-Bikes, sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions, as well as safety. Startups and innovative ideas by students in engineering and emerging brands are an integral part of the fair.
The 2019 edition
As the official claim of the 77th edition of EICMA suggests – “Moto Rivoluzionario” (revolutionary movement) – the exhibition is a tribute to innovation and evolution in the motoring sector, though with an eye always open on the past and on its great masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, one of the first to give a concrete contribution to human mobility. Other highlights of this year’s edition include:
– 2 new pavilions – reaching the total number of 8 – hosting all innovations from the various companies, plus previews highlighting the future perspectives of mobility.
– presence of VIPs, professional riders and authorities to the MotoLive area, featuring races, competitions and free open-air leisurely events within the fairgound.
– particular attention is given to E-bikes and bikes with pedal assistance as a green solution to mobility on traditional motorbikes. A special covered bike trail enables visitors to try in first person the featured products.
As for the previous editions, it has been announced that the leading brands in the two-wheels are all featured in the 77th edition of EICMA.
