About the exhibition
After a full year of celebrations of the genius of Leonardo da Vinci, the spaces of the Sala dei Ducali at the Sforza Castle display for the first time ever a new drawing from the atelier of the master. The sheet on display is considered the preparatory work for the Salvator Mundi, a creation attributed to Gian Giacomo Caprotti, one of Leonardo’s pupils. Thanks to its special setting, showing both sides of the sheet, visitors can admire on one side various anatomical studies by Leonardo da Vinci and his students spanning from 1487 to 1510-1513and on the other side a mysterious inscription referring to the “Salvator Mundi”.
