About the Exhibition
It was 1948 when a new comic – Tex – born from an idea by Gianluigi Bonelli and designed by Aurelio Galleppini was first issued in Italy and worldwide. Now, 70 years later the adventures of the courageous adventurer and ranger can be admired within the spaces of Palazzo della Permanente on a dedicated exhibition highlighting the impact of this well-known character on the history of costume and comics.
The myth of Tex, as well as his adventures, his fights for justice and equality, as well as his ongoing battle for the rights of the Navajos, come alive through drawings, period photos, never-before-seen documents and themed installations. By visiting the exhibition, visitors can feel like they were riding alongside with Tex throughout the meadows, forests and deserts of Arizona, Canada, the Rio Grande towards the Pacific Ocean to face bandits, rebels and voodoo magicians.
