About the premiere
Teatro alla Scala inaugurates its 2019/2020 season with a unique night featuring a performance of Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca”. Conducted by Maestro Riccardo Chailly, the premiere is also enhanced by the Anna Netrebko’s, Francesco Meli’s and Luca Salsi’s voices and by the return on the Milanese scene of Davide Livermore. The atmosphere becomes even more spectacular thanks to the scene settings by Giò Forma and the marvellous costumes by Gianluca Falaschi.
A widespread extravaganza
Not just a “première”, an event filled with tradition, history, society life, involving the whole city thanks to collateral events, to live national broadcasting on TV and in many cinemas and theatres, and on a large screen positioned in the middle of the Ottagono in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This and much more is one of the most well-loved events by Milanese and more, the opening season of Teatro alla Scala, la Scala Opera House. Until 12 December, the “Prima Diffusa” programme engages over 40 locations with free events connected to the Great Première.
