Every two years, during the three days of the event (happening every 2nd weekend of September) participants to the game, dressed in historic clothes, evoke a famous chess match occurred in 16th century between two local aristocrats fighting to conquer the same woman’s heart. The performance takes place in the city of Marostica (less than 250 Km from Milan), province of Vicenza, in the region of Veneto (whose main city is Venice).
