About the Arch Week
For the third consecutive year, Milan serves as the stage to Milano Arch Week, an important focus on the world of architecture and on the urban challenges the cities constantly have to deal with. As part of the programme of YesMilano and powered by Triennale di Milano, Politecnico di Milano and Comune di Milano, in collaboration with Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli and Stefano Boeri, the event features a week full of events based on the future of architecture. In particular, architecture is seen as the only tool people can use to change their relationship with green. The urban plan for the city of Milan by 2030 is focused on the two core themes of sustainability and mobility, where particular attention is given to eco-friendly solutions.
The programme of the third Milano Arch Week features lectures with architects, designers and scientists of international relevance, as well as emerging talents in architecture, urbanists, lanscape painters, opinion leaders and public personalities. Among the protagonists, the event features the participation of Pritzker-Prize-winners Rem Koolhaas and Shigeru Ban, as well as other important architects.
The programme also interacts with another important event based on nature, the XXII Triennale. Broken Nature
