As many people might already know, Milan is one of the cities displaying the widest variety of LGBT friendly clubs in Italy (did you read our LGBT guide for living Milan?), but the week with the greatest amount of LGBT friendly events is the week of Milano Gay Pride.
One week of LGBT friendly events, usually happening in late June, until the traditional parade for civil rights, that will be the culmination of this annual event. From 22 to 24 June, the streets around via Lazzaretto, via Lecco, via Castaldi, largo Bellintani and piazza Oberdan will turn into a real ‘Pride Square’, an ideal seat for debates and talks on LGBT right, on sexually transmitted diseases and will also serve as a meeting space.
Moreover, the dedicated stands will offer the chance for free AIDS tests.
Parade route: the traditional starting point is Milano Stazione Centrale, the march usually ends at Porta Venezia
