About the exhibition

In dialogue with the 23rd Triennale Milano International Exhibition entitled “Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries” (15 July-11 December), Fondazione Bracco realises in collaboration with Triennale Milano an installation to encourage free access to knowledge for girls and girls and achieve a balance gender balance in science and technology subjects.

Mind the STEM Gap offers an immersive and memorable edutainment experience, designed for players aged 10 and over: the installation, similar to a circular spaceship, with a look that pays homage to Italian design, allows access to the didactic video game through 16 stations equipped with optical visors and joysticks. Girls and boys, but also adults are invited to embark on a virtual journey that will start from the Triennale Giardino Giancarlo De Carlo.

More details

The principles expressed in the Manifesto, from which the installation is inspired, touch on fundamental aspects of personal development: language, cultural stereotypes, behaviour patterns, play and cognitive development, access to knowledge, lifelong learning.
Women are still strongly underrepresented in STEM skills: worldwide, only 31% operate in the field artificial intelligence and only 14% in cloud computing (Source: World Economic Forum).
