JazzMi, one of the most awaited events connected to the world of music returns to Milan to pay tribute to the universe of jazz in all its facets. Starting from the history of jazz up to its modern days and its future, the event also analyses its relationship with other music genres and the way they influence each other. Designed to help the world of jazz grow and improve, this widespread event is held in some of the most relevant locations in the city.
About the programme
As for the previous editions, JazzMi serves as starting stage for emerging talents from all around the world, as well as the ideal backdrop for talks with the artists who have the chance to tell their personal history and the history of Jazz. Talks, concerts and conferences with the artists enliven the atmosphere for over 10 days revolving around some key locations such as Triennale Teatro dell’Arte, Blue Note, Conservatorio di Milano and Teatro dal Verme. Among the featured artists, the wider public can enjoy concerts and performances by Wooten Brothers, Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Archie Shepp, Stefano Bollani with Chucho Valdes and Kenny Barron.
