About the exhibition
Born from a collaboration between fashion photographer Rankin, the Milanese art gallery 29 Arts in Progress, jewellery brand Piaget and champagne house Perrier-Jouët, the show Rankin: From Portraiture to Fashion is an ever-changing photographic project displaying some of the most iconic shots from Rankin’s photographic archive. Some of Rankin’s well-known pictures, as well as concept works, are displayed on rotation in the spaces of art gallery 29 Arts in Progress to introduces this industry-leading photographer to a new generation of photography collectors.
An ever-changing project
Conceived to cover four months, the exhibition involves the change of the displayed works and entire settings to reflect the vivacity of the Milanese scenery, as well as some of its most important events, spanning from the Vogue Photo Festival to the Fashion Film Festival, as well as the Milano Fashion Week. Thanks to this innovation, the exhibition created a chance for an ideal dialogue between the author and the cultural and lifestyle scene of the city, one fo the capitals of fashion and design in Europe.
