On foot

Milan is an easy town to visit by foot: the whole center can be crossed in a couple of hours stopping everywhere for shopping and sightseeing.

Taxi Companies

There are various taxi companies in Milan.
Here are the phone numbers of each company:
Radiotaxi T: +39 02 8585, which offers wi-fi on board
Taxi Blu T: +39 02 4040, boasting over 1800 taxis, 500 of which offer a wi-fi coverage
Yellow Taxi T: +39 02 6969, allowing reservations via web and payment with just a simple call to T: +39 02 312201 or via the app itTaxi
Etaxi T: +39 02 5353, which offers wi-fi on board, a multi-lingual call center and allows payment with credit cards

Uber

Uber is a black car service that allows people to book towncar rides via an App and costs a little more than a taxi. www.uber.com
1. Download the UBER App (iPhone/Android or visit www.uber.com) and register.
2. Select your desired pickup point and click on “Richiedi Berlina Nera”.

Car Sharing

Car sharing services are convenient only for regular visitors. The most used services are Enjoy, Car2Go, Drive Now and Ubeeqo. 

Cycling

The city of Milan’s bike sharing service Bike-Mi is an alternative system of public transport to facilitate short trips within the city. In Milan there are also city and tandem bike hire services, like Velocipedi.

Public Transportation: ATM

Getting around Milan has been made relatively easy thanks to Milan’s local public transportation authority, ATM. In addition to an underground subway system (The Metro), Milan is also covered above gound by numerous tram and bus routes.

The same ticket grants access to all public means of transporation.
A useful tool is the trace-your-route service by ATM, available on the Internet and also on APP stores with the name ATM Milano.
