To mark the bicentenary of the birth of famous composer Giuseppe Verdi, Milan is offering a program of more than eighty events including concerts, exhibitions and initiatives scheduled to run until 27 January 2014: “Verdi a Milano” is a large collective celebration that will involve several highly prestigious locations including Teatro alla Scala and the Auditorium di Milano (Messa da Requiem-7, 8, 10 November), GAM-Galleria d’Arte Moderna and Palazzo Morando-Costume Moda Immagine (photographic exhibition by Graziella Vigo, until 8 December and Veni, Vidi, Verdi from 19 November to 27 January 2014), the MIC-Museo Interattivo del Cinema and WOW Spazio Fumetto.

“Verdi e Milano” App.
This app, available both in English and Italian, will give users a chance to explore the special relationship that existed between Verdi and the city, highlighting the places where the Maestro met with his friends and the theater in which he performed his most important works. Furthermore, mementos and memories contribute to allowing users to gain insight into the life of this great composer and his relationship with the city of Milan
