After the attention caught during 2015’s Design Weeek the Design Museum 1880-1980 officially re-opened to the public on 9 July 2015, during Expo.
It is set in the Navigli District in the former Sieroterapico buildings, refurbished following Raffaello Biagetti’s project. It features some interesting pieces by local and international industrial designers of the last hundred years such as Le Corbusier, Gio Ponti, Achille and Giacomo Castiglioni and Gae Aulenti, who were very active during the most crucial moments of the evolution of International industrial product design.
An interesting museum for those willing to learn the history and development of industrial product design and the evolution of creativity applied to objects.Visitors can also access the inner shop selling designer-made objects.
This museum adds up to the yet wide offer of Design Museum of La Triennale.
Please note that this museum has closed.
