Photo of Francesco Messina Museum

Located only a few steps from the Duomo in the old desecrated Church of San Sisto sits the Francesco Messina Museum. Choosing the venue himself, Francesco Messina, a twentieth century Italian sculptor, considered the Church of San Sisto to be the ideal location to display several works he had donated to the city of Milan. Exhibits include about eighty sculptures (plaster, terracotta, polychrome, bronze and wax) and some thirty graphic works (lithographs, water colors, pastel and pencil drawings).
