Vicolungo The Style Outlets, the closest designer outlet to Milan with reductions from 30% to 70% on retail prices all-year-round, has introduced its new, fun appointment with light art, with the sixth edition of RILUCE-Esercizi di Arte Luminosa.
This year’s edition, starting on 26 November and lasting until 15 January 2017 is named ‘Spassatempo – Con Pinocchio nel Paese Dei Balocchi’ , a title inspired by the masterpiece by Italian writer Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio. A playful itinerary with spectacular big-sized light installations recalling the novel’s Toyland (Paese dei Balocchi in the original Italian edition). From a big arcade leading visitors into the space of the Outlet, maybe in search of the perfect Christmas gift, to candy and lollipops inspired lights and merry-go-rounds, kids and adults alike can enjoy an amusing break from their shopping session and discover the history of the novel throughout the interpretation provided by expert illustrators.
19th century inventions such as hot-air balloons, Ferris wheels, as well as small toys and puppet shows are transformed into light installations scattered in the public open spaces of Vicolungo the Style Outlets help guests re-discover the most genuine interpretation of the novel, powered with he help of Carlo Collodi’s National Foundation.
Visitors who aim to reach the Outlet from Milan can take advantage of a special shuttle service by Zani Viaggi departing daily at 10.30pm from Milan Visitor Centre. Moreover, by handing in the ticket to the shuttle, its users can also receive a special Shopping Card allowing a further 10% discount on outlet prices.
