Creators of fine Italian writing instruments for more than 100 years, Montegrappa recently opened a new space in Milan featuring all of its precious collections. In the digital era, the idea of connecting on paper rather than on the Internet has lost some of its appeal. What better opportunity to rediscover this ancient art than a visit to the new Montegrappa boutique in Milan’s Quadrilatero? Having recently celebrated its centenary anniversary, today Montegrappa has added a range of brand-new luxury products including watches, cufflinks, perfumes as well as silk and leather accessories to its historic collection of writing instruments. Located on the corner between via Borgospesso and via Rossari, its elegantly sophisticated space hosts a series of fine writing instruments, including special editions, like the new collection of pens dedicated to the great Ernest Hemingway. A project that, like a book, consists of several chapters – The Soldier, The Writer, The Fisherman and The Traveller – scheduled to be presented to the public in four different editions. The first two in 2016 and the remaining two in 2017. The items produced by Montegrappa do not only tribute the past but are also projected towards the future. In fact, over the past few years, the brand has introduced several new models featuring a perfect blend of innovation and tradition (including, for example, the Q1 multi-cartridge fountain pen). Its stylistic research is oriented towards a new fusion of forms that mirrors the modern language of design to perfection.
Open Mon-Sat 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm.
